Digital Design for Sustainability. With this title, the MyDocumenta team presented the results of the ARDES projects to students, teachers and designers of the Valencia area. This multiplier event was especially focused on the use of digital tools, and the role of designers in communicating climate change and creating awareness. It was an interactive event with debates and an IMPROVISA workshop.
The Multiplier Event organized by EINA took place on 18 April, online. The course was presented by Tània Costa, academic director of Eina and coordinator of the University Master’s Degree in Research in Art and Design (MURAD); Anna Pujadas, coordinator of the ARDES programme; Rafael de Balanzó Joue, PhD in Sustainability from the UPC, professor at MURAD and the Pratt Institute (NewYork); Federica Pagano, student of MURAD; and Simon Fernandez Katz, student of the Bachelor of Design. The two students participated in the pilot of the ARDES program and had their work displayed in the online exhibition.
Multiplier Event at European University Cyprus, 23 April 2024
The Multiplier Event in Cyprus, organised by European University Cyprus, took place on 23 April 2024. After the welcome speech by the Ambassador of Portugal and Simona Mihai, coordinator at EUC, the teachers presented the ARDES course and other project results.
The results of the pilot were shared and analysed during the 4th International Partner Meeting, hosted by EINA in Barcelona, on 1-2 February 2024. The first analysis of the results was very promising, and the course shows great potential.
The project pilot has started! After a local teacher training in the three countries, the course is being implemented with the participation of around 100 students and 10 teachers.
On 26-28 June 2023 the teachers attended a joint staff training hosted by LABA Valencia, School of Art, Design & New Media. The teachers got trained in the course contents, the methodology, the different platforms to be used, and had the opportunity to experiment with the IMPROVISA tool, to be used in Module 3.
On 30-31 March 2023 we had our partner meeting in Nicosia, hosted by European University Cyprus. We shared the final course material, worked on the teachers’ guide and jointly prepared the next phase of the project, the pilot.
On 3-4 November we had a first face-to-face meeting in Lisbon, hosted by UAb, where we could finally meet each other in person and share the first results of the project.

The Kick-off meeting of the project took place on 10 and 12 May 2022. The project partners met virtually and had the chance to consolidate the work plan and start working on the contents of the short-learning program for Art, Design and Sustainability.
